How Time Flies
It all started when our life's clock ticked four (4), How our paths crossed even before we knew the word, "tour. " I couldn't help but capture those bitter-sweet memories in puzzles and pieces, One, of how our feet joyfully navigated streets we'd never known. Now I can testify of the sacred song, "amazing grace" –we got "Lost and Found." How time truly flies! The marketplace where mother sold was our pitch and playground, Indeed, our home away from our differing backgrounds. We often ...
Wildlife Reserve in Africa
Africa is bestowed with extremely rich wildlife. This bountiful gift of nature comprises the famous Big-Five game species like the lion, rhino, elephant, Cape buffalo, and leopard along with hundreds of endangered species. Game reserves and wildlife parks are protected areas by law for the safety and continuity of wildlife. The best way to experience a close encounter with these wild animal species is to visit any of the spectacular wildlife parks in Africa to enjoy a once in a lifetime African...
African Rivers and Lakes
Today, marks the fifth, 5th day of our adventure and tour around the African continent in a bid to explore eye-catching sights and mind blowing endowment in nature. We decided to stop by to check the phenomenal Katsina Ala river. This river rises from the northeast of Bamenda, Cameroon and flows 200 miles northwest, crossing into eastern Nigeria just north of Gayama and passing the town of Katsina Ala before reaching the Benue river northeast of Abinsi. The serenity around this river is mindbl...

Day 4: Africa's Coastlines
Hello Neighbors, it's day four of #DiscoverAfrica challenge and today is centred on Africa's coastlines. We have freshwater, lakes and rivers, dams and other aquatic habitats. Keep in mind that Nigeria has areas with coastlines that gave rise to the beaches in the nation. What is a coastline? A coastline is a line that is formed between an ocean ...
Day 3: African Deserts & Dunes
Africa is one continent blessed with diverse vegetation, climate and people. Talking about deserts in Africa the names that come to mind are the Sahara desert, kalahari desert, Namib desert, Libyan desert and a plethora of others. As it stands, the Sahara desert is the hotest. As a bonafide Nigerian, we search to see if our country was blessed with deserts and dunes and found none, except for one, the Yusufari Desert. The Yusufari Desert is believed to be an extension of the Sahara desert ...

Day 2: Kurra Waterfalls
There's just a particular reason, Plateau State is called the Home of peace and Tourism. We have an ambience so welcoming and comely. The Kurra falls in Plateau state is one of the iconic sights on the state and is situated in a region of wonderful landscape nearly 77 kilometers southeast of Jos. It's been a great journey the past
It's been a great journey the past 31 days... Here's a video capturing my entire experience. #Nirclefeeds #Nircledailyfeeds
Day 32: Aftermath
You know how you hear and sometimes preach on a particular subject but never implement it. How you know the spelling of the word "Consistency" but never tasted of the sour fruit and stress it brings to our patience. 31 days of #Nirclefeeds transformed my concept of writing. It transcends reward and emphasized passion and commitment. I've failed to keep up with writing on my blog, - theinspiredpoet. Com. With this lesson learnt and patience built, I'll be issuing out my post consistently. One...

Day 30: Reflections
Another year is coming to an end and another opens up. A proverb about work and making known your strides struck my mind amidst my short reflections today. Hear it: "Imọtọ ki tọfa ñw gunu owñu d’ọla ñw ñe ña." TRANSLATION: "Any child who shoots a vulture with an arrow merely exposes himself to public ridicule because it is not an edible bird." It is used to tell a child not to be too heard in public. A futile activity undertaken in public always attracts public opprobriu...
Day 29: Cultural Crafts
The Igala people take pride in their cultures and traditions. One important aspect they whole dear is their fascinating traditional attire popularly called Igala Achi. The Igala Achi is an elegant fabric designed with two predominant colours which are – mustard yellow and black. The fabric colours may also include blue (rarely), white and green stripes which fully complement the major colours, giving it an elaborate look. Bead works to suit or blend with this masterpiece as seen in pictures ...
Day 28: African Heritage
"The Giant of Africa" as some fondly calls is a name sewn to the fabric every Nigerian wears about his/her country - Nigeria. What I love is how we dare to dominate scences, we shine better once outside the country than within it. We favorable weather for agricultural purposes, especially Plateau State and some states in the middle belt. What's more captivating is that we have experienced devastating natural disasters as some countries do. It's something rarely common or seen in the country. ...
Uhi Ireyi: Ebira Proverbs

Day 27: Day in Life
As a young man in Nigeria, my day starts during the early hours of the day. Rising at 4 a.m.(though not consistently), my devotion and communication with my Creator Kickstarts my day and a quick review of the plans I have and actions to undertake. Once the day breaks, I head to a secondary school in Jos, Plateau State, where I teach Basic Science and Mathematics for about 3 hours. Daily young folks in my neighborhood embrace the art of "yahoo" We face increasing crime rates... Festive season is almost here and reports of goods being stolen and raids of kidnappers lurking in our streets and houses. These Cha...
Day 25: Memorable Moment
The African Christmas praise night was amazing. Last year, precisely, December 20th we had a carol and it focused on praising God for the gift of his dear son which we were about to celebrate on December 25th. The event held in Plateau state, Bukuru at the Living Faith Church, Airforce Girls school. We had the joy of dancing to songs sang in Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba and English as well. Day 24: African Proverbs
Embedded in the roots of the African culture are fountain of ancient wisdom called Proverbs. Day 22: African Movies
I'm no fan of Nollywood movies as a Nigerian however this movie got me emotional. Breathe of life is a story of purpose, Grace, history, benevolence, love. The movie was releassed in 2023 and was executively produced by BB Sasore and Derin Adeyokunnu. The film was written and directed...

Someone said, "African Proverbs are lifehacks." This statement holds true as many proverbs that stemmed from Africa have been used to proffer solutions to real-life problems. Day 17: Gratitude Post
There are too many things to be grateful for about culture, especially the African culture. Deeply rooted and knitted in the fabric of our diversity, are varying strands of strength, unity and cohesion. African nations have scarcely waged latge-scale wars against one another. The respect we accord elders is everything to be grateful for. The very fact that we have a stern connection between the elderly and the younger generation is another thing to give thanks for. This is simply to secure the...
Day 16: Foodie Post
Lurking in the street and corners of the cold Plateau, are two meals known as old as our history. They've served as both fast food and bachelor food. Alright enough of the jokes! Day 12: Achievement Calls
Hey guys, On today's episode of #Nirclefeeds daily post, we'll be looking at one small achievement Joseph Destiny, the Inspired Poet undertook in my community. It might seem little but significant. For a while, I've conceived the idea of landscaping my immediate environment. With no prior skills kn horticultural practices, I ventured out and failed woefully last dry season. This time around, I took out time to consult with several experts in my little way. Bloom's Garden was birthed as a resu...
