THE WHISPERS OF MY INNER CHILD
Ohh!! my wistful memoir, I miss dawn we bath outside in our mother's big basin Splashing foaming water to make bubbles as we laugh sheepishly, shining our missing front tooth School was our spot; to prank pals April fool… And share five kobo sweets with dirty hands The bell calls for games under the jealous sun Boys played football with empty can, Girls picked Súwell, claped Ügaa with besties Toddlers did hide and seek with water gun The joy that bloom our bond echoes from the school w...

I am silver and exact. I have no preconceptions. Whatever I see I swallow immediately Just as it is, unmisted by love or dislike. I have looked at it so long I think it is part of my heart. … to be continued I reviewed this provoking poem to bring out the best in young people. MYSELF By Edgar Albert Guest. Review and Analysis by Okoro Amarachi
I have to live with myself and so I want to be fit for myself to know. I want to be able as days go by, always to look myself straight in the eye; I don't want to stand with the setting sun and hate myself for the things I have done. I don't want to keep on a closet shelf a lot of secrets about myself and fool myself as I come and go into thinking no one else will ever know the kind of person I really am, … to be continue I analyze this beautiful poem that teach on self au...

DAY 31: AFRICA CELEBRATION
In my region, the popular local festival celebrated at the period is Ofala Festival. It's a spectacular royal festival where the Igwe (traditional ruler) is celebrated. Ofala showcases cultural heritage, bestowing chieftaincy titles, and reaffirming the Igwe's leadership. It’s an annual ceremony practiced by Igbo people, in the eastern part of Nigeria. It serves as a rites of renewal of the king or Igwe or Obi and the festival is celebrated within two days mostly in October by the Obi (king)...
DAY 30: REFLECTION
* I learnt so much this month. First, to be patience with life ( take ever steps one at a time). like my culture always says “Ndidi ka mma” (translated patience is the best). Patience is a great virtue that is required in this journey of life. * Again, I learnt to speak my dialect fluently than before. I will say that is a tangible achievement. To know more about my traditional language, it's origin, and evolution, which makes me see myself from root and I embraced it with confidence an...

This earring can pair with an Ankara/ native dress. It’s add beauty to Africa fashion. #NircleFeeds #MyNircleFeeds
DAY 28: AFRICA HERITAGE
Unique things about my country's history * One unique about Nigeria‘s history is the discovery of oil well in Oloibiri, in Nigeria's Bayelsa State, in 1956. This made Nigeria to be recognized as one of the top oil-rich Nation in the world in 1970s during her oil boom. * Another unique about Nigeria in her historical era, is the intense production of agricultural products since 1914. Agriculture has its place in the history of the nation, this is the reason for the ‘green’ in her natio...

How my dialect saved my day It was 2022, I was in Northern part of Nigeria, Kaduna State. I remember standing on the queue for more than two hours at Unity bank due to scarcity of Naria. I review/ analyze the poem titled; ALL THE WORLD’S A STAGE by Williams Shakespeare
All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages. DAY 17: GRATITUDE POST
The unique thing about my culture (that I'm grateful) for is that traditional Igbo culture emphasizes values such as, respect for elders, and hospitality. My culture extremely upholds respect for elders. The reason been that it is a belief, widely shared among the Igbos, that if one respects and honors an elder, one will eventually live to become an elder. Bowing as a form of greeting is common in Nigeria to show respect to elders. This is a display of respect and recognition for their wisdom ...
