*TODAY💔😔.*


I met you today
And my healing flinched.

Not because I want you,
But because my pain still knows your name.

You didn’t touch me,
Yet everything in me remembered
how it felt to be left
while still loving.

I thought time had sealed the wound,
but time only taught it how to stay quiet.
Seeing you taught it how to speak again.

Some hurts don’t bleed
They echo.
They sit behind the ribs
and wait for familiar faces
to call them awake.

I smiled like a survivor,
but inside,
a former version of me collapsed
the one who believed in love
would choose her back.

I didn’t miss you.
I missed who I was
Before loving you cost me myself.

So I walked away,
carrying sadness like a scar
proof that I felt deeply,
even when it broke me.
