The fundamental purpose of education was never intended to be the accumulation or boastful display of material possessions, acquiring everything and destroying the environment within one's mortal existence, without concern for the survival and well-being of future generations. It was not about ravaging the planet at the expense of material acquisition, cloaked in the guise of success. Education's purpose was to assist and enrich, not to possess and flaunt.
