THE LOUDEST ECHO

Empty barrels make the most noise.
And in our time, it is often the first generation of degree-holders who shake the earth the loudest — desperate for the world to bow to the title they just earned.
To address such a graduate without the “Doctor,” “Lawyer,” or “Engineer” prefix is to commit a mortal crime in their kingdom of borrowed glory.
But in some homes, these titles are old songs — sung for generations, carried like breath, woven into the very walls.
A new degree does not move the needle; it does not shake the table.
In those families, you are not blazing a trail — you are simply walking the path giants carved long before you, their footsteps so vast that even your pride cannot fill the space they left behind.
A Reflection from the SIMU Collection.
