THE HERESY OF TRUTH
By SIMU
The greatest truths have never arrived softly.
They have always come dressed as blasphemy—
unwelcome, inconvenient,
dragging light into rooms
where people had grown comfortable with shadows.
Every age has its prophets,
and every prophet is first stoned
before they are studied.
It is a strange paradox of humanity:
those who benefit the most from change
are always the first to resist it.
They cling to the old world
with trembling fingers,
fighting progress tooth and nail,
as if the future were a thief
instead of a gift.
They curse the river
even as it brings water.
They fear the fire
even as it brings warmth.
They attack the ladder
even as it’s the only thing
keeping them from drowning.
And then there are the masses—
the great ocean of humanity
wading in knee‑deep water,
sworn to never leave the shallow end.
Comfort is their religion.
Familiarity is their god.
They build shrines to their limits
and call it tradition.
They mock the swimmer
who dares to cross into the deep.
They warn the diver
who seeks what lies beneath.
They scorn the voyager
whose eyes follow horizons
they cannot even imagine.
But history is cruel and comedic,
for every breakthrough,
every revolution,
every spark that reshapes the world—
was first rejected
by the very ones it came to save.
Blasphemy becomes truth.
Truth becomes law.
Law becomes tradition.
And tradition becomes the wall
the next truth must break through.
The cycle continues.
The brave step forward.
The fearful stay behind.
The shallow remains shallow.
And humanity,
in its stumbling brilliance,
keeps marching toward tomorrow
one blasphemy at a time.
