Assembled under the mango tree,
Like soldier ready to charge off to war,
To a land unbeknownst to them.
We waited for the game to start,
Even the scorching sun, burning as hot as hell couldn't stop our little game of hide and seek.
Then came the counting of number, marking the commencement of the game.
We took turns on this interesting game, whoever was caught would've to search for the rest of us.
Till night came and everyone dispersed for dinner had I remembered my mother had sent me on an errand.
Dejectedly I went home, mother had already prepared a whip specially for me, I bared my back and waited the scorpion's sting.

I was inspired by my mom's need for a strife to displine us as her children to become responsible people in the society. One striking memory was when she sent me on an errand and I went to play instead.
