THE DARK EMBER WITHIN
Tagline: “Not all shadows are cast some are born.”
A Cinematic Reflection by SIMU
There is no doubt that evil exists but the greatest deception lies in where we choose to place its origin.
Most people find it easier to point outward, to imagine a distant, twisted devil orchestrating every cruelty. An external enemy is comforting; it lets us believe we are innocent by default.
But the truth is far more unsettling.
Sometimes the darkness doesn’t visit us.
Sometimes it lives in us.
Many walk with a small ember hidden deep within faint, quiet, but capable of igniting into something terrifying when the right trigger strikes.
People would rather believe in a devil with horns than acknowledge a darkness carried in human hearts.
Because accepting that truth demands accountability.
It removes excuses.
It exposes the shadows we pretend not to see.
Pineapples don’t magically appear in a fruit salad you never cut and added.
In the same way, evil cannot suddenly blossom in a soul where it never existed.
It must already have roots a place to glow, to wait, to grow.
Sometimes the devil is blamed for actions he never committed.
But sometimes he is merely a spectator,
and the real darkness is human, internal,
an ember glowing quietly until the moment it rises.
