THE BRIDGE OF CONTRAST
by SIMU
Life’s true meaning is not found at the extremes.
Not in the blinding light of abundance,
nor in the crushing weight of scarcity.
Not in the stillness of peace,
nor in the storm of grief.
Not in the glory of life,
nor in the silence of death.
It is found in the invisible point between them
that fragile balance,
that razor-thin line
where opposites collide and coexist.
It is the bridge between joy and sorrow,
where you learn the worth of happiness
only because you’ve tasted its absence.
It is the tightrope between life and death,
where every heartbeat is a reminder
that existence is both miracle and countdown.
It is the quiet center between having everything
and having nothing,
where gratitude is born
and perspective sharpens into truth.
Meaning does not live in the contrasts themselves
it lives in the tension between them.
In that breath between laughter and tears,
where your humanity is most visible.
In that moment between rising and falling,
where humility and strength shake hands.
Life’s true meaning is found on the bridge
between its sharp contrasts
the place where you are forced to feel,
to question,
to understand,
to simply be.
For only on that bridge
do you truly see life as it is:
fragile, powerful, fleeting,
and profoundly significant.
A Reflection from the SIMU Collection.
