WE LIVE IN STRANGE TIMES
By SIMU
We live in times where the world has forgotten its own spine.
Where gambling is no longer a vice —
it is a lifestyle, a soundtrack, a neon-lit dream
marketed as destiny.
We live in times where hard work is commanded
to wait at the back of the line
while shortcuts, schemes, and shiny illusions
strut proudly to the front.
We live in times where politeness feels foreign,
where respect is outdated,
and wearing a tie is somehow mistaken for integrity.
Where appearance has replaced essence,
and grooming is louder than character.
We live in times where a young man can acquire a Benz in one hour
— no sweat, no story, no proof —
and instead of suspicion, he receives applause.
He is crowned influencer,
example,
standard,
the blueprint for other lost young men
starving for direction but fed with lies.
We live in times where intimacy has been reduced
to invoices and negotiations,
transactional, cold,
stripped of warmth, meaning, and soul.
We live in times where truth limps,
hard work whispers,
and virtue is treated like an antique
collecting dust in the corner of civilization.
Yes — we live in strange, disordered times.
But even here, a few still walk the harder path.
A few still choose truth over trends,
integrity over applause,
substance over noise.
And time —
time will eventually remember them.
