PIECE OF MIND
Carcasses scattered everywhere and my blood all over the scene
Sleepless nights with mouth smelling of london dry gin
Poverty being the order of the day languishing all including my next of kin
Wondering why life has to be so mean and at the tunnel's end no beam
Wondering if curses are buses we aboard, as excuses not to blame our failures
Being living right, choosing peaceful means with no fights, abiding by the rules and checking on my behaviour
Not letting anyone in, fearing for my peace of mind and friends that bite
Hoping of better days to come, soaring above clouds with no strings attached like a kite
Planning a revolution to change the status quo of my inner self
Seeking knowledge and wisdom to stack in my brain's inner shelf
Praying for understanding backed up by my spiritual self
Appreciating the gift of life and the feeling of being safe
Cries everywhere, sorrows here and there, sometimes I wish I was deaf
Am I a coward? Is it paranoia that I want a location to cave?
