Love Beyond Pity

I will not marry out of pity.
Her heart, once shattered, carries a thousand scars—
But love cannot be built from wounds alone.
No, I must marry her because she is my solace,
My home amidst the storms.
I will not marry out of pity.
His heart, heavy from the weight of heartbreak,
Deserves more than a hand extended in charity.
No, I must marry him because he is my anchor,
My peace amidst the chaos.
Why not me? Yes, why not us?
Let love be rooted in mutual reverence,
In a bond where each cherishes and is cherished.
For pity fades like shadows at dawn,
But true love endures forever.
