I just realized
Most of my videos and pictures go unposted.
They lay forgotten in my gallery,
Collecting dust, unrequited,
Sometimes hidden away
Where no eyes can see but mine.
Are they fine? Yes, of course.
But I can’t post them.
The labels tagged to poses haunt me.
Society has conformed a lot…
My mind rigged and twisted.
“Too feminine,” my mind screamed.
“They will frown at it.”
The twists and turns; are they necessary?
My heart kept asking.
Again and again, I took posing lessons.
I tried reshaping my style,
Yet I fail.
More videos, more pictures, all hidden away,
Never to see the light of day.
What do I do?
Daily, the energy to snap wanes,
All because of a rigged society.
Unsolicited thoughts here and there from viewers,
Voices so loud without meaning, only to condemn.
Now driven back into my shell,
My goal to model killed
With a few loud words without meaning.
“Help me,” I cry to the heavens,
Waiting for a saving grace.
Fully grown yet feminine, they scoff.
Only if it was that easy and fair.
