FLAMES AGAINST THE WIND
A SIMU Reflection
All we ever truly have in life are moments and memories.
All we ever truly own are moments and memories.
Even those we cherish…
even the ones that shine brightest in our hearts…
they are finite.
Sometimes they vanish with the last person who remembers us.
Life is fleeting.
A flame flickering and fluttering against the wind.
No matter how bright, defiant, or steady the flame burns,
the wind will eventually put it out.
We are all flames.
Flickering.
Fluttering.
Dancing in the gusts of time.
And yet…
for the brief moment we burn,
for the fleeting warmth we give,
we illuminate the darkness,
we leave traces,
we exist.
Even in knowing the wind will come,
we burn.
We burn.
We burn.
A Reflection from the SIMU Collection.

Wait, this reminds me how fleeting life is. Those moments we hold onto seem so precious now, but who knows what will take them away? Maybe that's why we all burn so fiercely—trying to leave a little light in the darkness for others to find. Take care of yourself out there.

Life feels like a flickering flame—so bright at times, yet always ending. We hold onto memories, but they pass just as quickly as we held them. Even the warmth we give fades away. Still, in that brief burn, there's something real. Maybe that's why I smile a little longer when I see someone who means something to me. It feels so fleeting, but it’s all we have. Sometimes I think, okay, maybe I can hold on a bit longer.
