Sometimes I feel high,
sometimes I feel low.
Still, I pick myself up.

Sometimes I feel like
laying under the tree
and given up on the journey
but that is not my destination.

I can’t abandon my journey
under the scorching sun.
A journey of a thousand miles
cannot end
when it has barely begun.

Sometimes I feel lonely.
I question myself
am I walking the right path?
Nothing inspires me here.
Everything feels dry.

On this stretch,
survival is my only option.

I pass many dry bones,
and the journey becomes terrifying.
Yet I tell myself:
I cannot end as bones on this road.
I will not feed vultures with my flesh
while my mission remains unfinished.

Why must my journey demand
that I move rocks and obstacles
before each step forward?

Even if I never reach the end,
it has been a beautiful adventure.

Now I stand
between the devil
and the ocean.

bones are dry but strength lies in perseverance, journey is beautiful no matter where it ends.
