A palm on the left chin, a sleepy mind
My thoughts are hazy, my focus left behind
I struggle to stay awake, my eyelids entwined
The world outside is moving fast
But I'm stuck in slow motion, aching to last
A palm on the left chin, a sleepy mind
My brain is foggy, my body left behind
The coffee's brewing, a savory treat
But even its aroma can't my sleepiness beat
A palm on the left chin, a sleepy mind
I'm trapped in a daze, my thoughts left to unwind
The day is young, but I'm feeling old
My energy's waning, my motivation grown cold
A palm on the left chin, a sleepy mind
I'm searching for a spark, a wake-up call to find
A palm on the left chin, a sleepy mind
Perhaps a power nap will leave my thoughts aligned
And when I wake, my focus will be redefined.
