How does one get over that feeling?
How does one feel safe yet helpless?
How do we fight off the fear—
The kind that whispers in silence?
Her eyes say she's seen hell.
Her lips quiver like winter touched her thoughts.
Her brows furrow, a dent in calm.
Her heart thumps like it fears the dark.
But still—
She stands tall.
Shoulders squared.
Palms curled into quiet fists.
Nerves sharp, steady.
Breath controlled.
Hope, buried but breathing.
She shook.
But didn't shatter.
She fears,
But didn't flee.
It's how courage wears its face—
Not loud, not bold,
Steady but still.
