Samuel salami
Salami Samuel Morolaoluwa is a self taught Artist and a full time practicing studio Artist. He is a student of Ladoke Akintola University of technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State. He is a Young man in his 20's; born on the 26th of July 2002. He grew up in Malali kaduna, kaduna State of a family of eight. He did his nursery and primary school education in Covenant international School Malali kaduna, and later furthered his education through secondary school in Federal Government College Malali kaduna where he finished his O'level education.
He resides in ogbomoso. He was mentored by Okunade Olamilekan where he was help to build his skill more in the field of art.
His works are strongly influenced by the African culture, in particular the native culture around him and its influence on the people. Despite growing up in a Christian family he came across series of traditional shrines, images and practices which serves as inspiration to him. His core source of inspiration is the African woman- her beauty, her strength, her culture, her beliefs and even her resilience despite being in a society where by the men dominate, and In a world where by the black woman is regarded as a mere housewife and a slave to her husband.
He has series of quality artworks in his collection. His artworks has given him opportunity to meet some influential people in the world such as Pastor Funke Felix Adejumo
