Muideen Abdulkadir
I am a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in Public Health interventions for Key populations, particularly in the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS and other STIs. My skills encompass research, data analysis, project planning, management, and evaluation. Beyond my professional role, I'm also a visual artist with a background in Art Therapy.
My artistic journey began during my formative years in primary and secondary education. Notably, I achieved the first runner-up position in the tertiary category of the National Gallery of Art Competitions in Nigeria after my third attempt. In 2013, I earned recognition among Nigeria's artists through my participation in the Atrium: The Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library National Art Competition.
Currently, I am working on an art project that promotes African culture in modern society, girl child education, and deep reflection on daily emotions. I've realized the profound impact of psychosocial issues on individuals within society, which has driven me to use painting as a therapeutic tool to interpret everyday experiences and emotions. This journey has culminated in the development of my distinctive style of contemporary painting known as "Broken," which conveys a myriad of emotions.
I strive to harmoniously blend artistry and psychology, leveraging my talents to make a meaningful impact in both fields while continually pushing the boundaries of artistic expression and mental well-being.
