Chinecherem Prace

Chinecherem Peace Ifedilichukwu is a Nigerian artist born in 1994, from Akwaeze, Anambra. She is an
exceptional talent with a unique style of art, which she employs to address social issues and embed the
symbols of the Igbo tribe. Her works are created through batik, a process that involves melting wax and
separating it from canvas to achieve a new creation of harmony and attention on canvas.
As an artist, Chinecherem's focus is on women and the challenges they face in society. She employs her
artworks to deliver strong messages to society and to express the plight of women in forced marriages.
Her experiences inspire her to create pieces that evoke emotions and connect with viewers at a deeper
level.
Chinecherem has exhibited her artwork in various shows and exhibitions. Her work was featured in the
2021 "My View From the Other Side: Dreams/Reality" exhibition at the Embassy of Spain, Abuja. She
also participated in the 2023, 2021 "XX Exhibition" organized by the Awka Museum Foundation.
Furthermore, Chinecherem was among the facilitators of the LIMCAF school children art workshop and
competition in 2019.
Chinecherem graduated in 2017 as the Best Graduating Student in the Department of Industrial Design
(Textile) at the School of Arts, Design, and Printing Technology, Institute of Management and
Technology (I.M.T) Enugu
